FAQ

What Kind of Organizations Do You Work With?

Any! Just be a group or place where people living with cancer come together.  Like a patient conference, hospital, wellness center, support group, club, patient residence, summer camp, or integrative medicine department.  Or, if you are planning an event, Just So You Know would add a fun and meaningful dimension to your gathering.  Like a party, support group, fundraiser, charity sporting event, a survivorship program or any other type of celebration, conference or special event for people with cancer.

Where do you go?

Anywhere in the United States!  We can bring our program to you.  Wherever you are.

Why have JSYK come to our organization?

Because people love to talk and to be heard.  And to find time to really dig in and have meaningful conversations with the most important people in their lives. It makes them feel better, gives a sense of control and builds connections.  This is especially true for people who have had something life-changing happen to them.  Your organization is in the business of helping them, and we can help you do just that.  We bring trained facilitators, videographers and lots of conversation starter kits to help people make the most out of their time in our recording room.

Which of our members, patients or participants can make a recording?  Do they have to have advanced disease?

No!  Just So You Know recording sessions are for anyone affected by cancer – regardless of age or stage, and they can be a patient, family member, caregiver, doctor, anyone who has a story they want to tell.

Who are the recordings for?  What are they used for?

The recordings (and the stories, conversations, private moments on the recording) are for the people who make them.  To do whatever they want with them.  But, if they give permission, we may add them, or excerpts from them to our website (and can share them with our host organizations too).  But only if they say we can.
