How it Works

Just So You Know makes it easy to plan for and record your video.

First, contact Just So You Know at (203) 341-9609 or at robin@just-so-you-know.org to find a recording location near you and make your reservation. Recording sessions last one hour with some extra time to set up equipment.

Second, choose someone to interview you - your spouse, partner, friend(s), sibling(s), or child(ren). If you prefer, you can make a recording by yourself or ask a social worker to help you. Consider different interview partners to cover different topics. Come in with a group of friends and reminisce. Bring in photographs and tell the stories behind the pictures.

Third, review our conversation starters for suggested discussion topics and questions.

Finally, come on your reserved time, sit, relax, press record, and just be you. After your session, Just So You Know will take care of everything so that you can quickly have a DVD of your interview. Your originals will be archived.
